In January of 2017, Museum Barberini, well received by both, media and feuilleton, was opened in Potsdam. Therefore, we of u&i GmbH can finish our participation in this great project.

The building is situated directly to Brandenburg state parliament and is part of rebuilt historical centre of Potsdam. As museum of art the first exhibition shows landscape paintings of Impressionism and "Classics of Modernism". All paintings are on loan from private collelctions, mainly from Hasso-Plattner-Foundation, which also fincanced the whole building of the museum.

Outside the building is the histoirc reconstruction of Palais Barberini, which was constructed in 1771/72 by Prussian King Frederick II. It was destroyd in 1945 by an air strike in the last days of World War II.

Inside the building, beneath the noble architectur and furnishing of the rooms, most modern ventilating and air-conditioning systems, information and security systems is used, discreetly concealed behind walls, floors and ceilings. Furthermore latest lighting and media technology is installed, e.g. extensive LED light ceilings, a real great Ultra HD LED media wall in the auditorium and a comprehensive WLAN network inside and outside the building.

Start of construction was in 2013. We of umwelttechnik & ingenieure GmbH startet with construction supervision for technical building services in March 2015.
