Business Segments - Power Sector - Sewage Sludge Treatment
Due to the amendment of the Sewage Sludge Ordinance (AbfKlärV) and the Fertiliser Ordinance/Fertiliser Ordinance (DüV/DüMV), sewage plant operators and waste disposal companies in Germany are facing new challenges.
Restricted application quantities, pending bans on flocculants and, in particular, the legally required phosphorus recovery lead to a considerable increase in disposal prices and force municipalities as well as supply and disposal companies to redesign their process chains.
We help our customers along the entire path of sewage sludge treatment from dewatering to recycling as shown below.
For us, the treatment of sewage sludge represents an intersection between our two central fields of work, energy management and recycling management, and is particularly important.
We distinguish in particular the following areas of sewage sludge treatment:
One focus of our activities currently lies in the field of general planning of sewage sludge mono-incineration plants. In addition, we naturally also offer decentralised concepts for sewage sludge drying or recycling, as there is no uniform solution for all problems. Thus, we have extensive experience, especially for the alternative processes (especially for Hydrothermal Carbonization, HTC).
Overall, we support our customers in the entire field of sewage sludge treatment in all planning phases and issues from the initial idea to implementation and commissioning.
