Realisation of the Residual Waste Fermentation Plant in Romania

S.C. RETIM ECOLOGIC SERVICE S.A./RRR GmbH Remmert Recycling Romania intent, in cooperation with its local partners, to increase the development of waste management concept with residual waste fermentation for a partial organic waste stream in the city Timişoara in Romania.
The plant can treat 23,000 Mg/a MSW in five dry fermenters and four rotting boxes (Rottebox®) in order to produce biogas and secondary biomass fuel. The expected production of electricity will cover the energy demand of approx. 1,000 households and will increase the heat capacity of the city by approx. 2,200 MWh per year.

The plant offers a completely closed system for the production of both biogas and secondary fuel, which will then be thermally utilized. The plant provides an environmental friendly energy production and fulfils all relevant EU guidelines.
